Antardrishti – welfare program for the visually and physically impaired

The major challenge that disabled people all around the world face is unemployment. The blind population of India constitutes one-fourth of the total number of the blind worldwide. In order to bring the ray of hope to the sightless eyes and make the physically impaired self-dependent & Self-secured His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, initiated a special welfare program for the visually & physically impaired and denominated the program as ‘Antardrishti’ – the inner vision.

Under the Antardrishti program, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan is working towards creating avenues and opportunities for people with special needs. Currently the program is focusing on the visually and physically impaired people through the following initiatives:

  • Provide them with training in order to capture their creative energy and vocational skills. This empowers them to work constructively and contribute towards productive activities as well as helps them attain their self-respect and become independent financially.

  • The organization helps to enhance the ability and  skills of these individuals to generate employment for them with appropriate working conditions. Units have been setup for manufacturing eco-friendly candles and herbal soaps. The proceeds of these products are duly ploughed back for expansion of the welfare activities for people with special needs.
